IMMIGRATION

Richie believes that immigrants make America great. As the grandson of immigrants, he rejects claims by the former President that immigrants are “poisoning the blood of our country.” Richie believes that the fabric of our nation is made up of immigrants – it is their hard work and enduring spirit that has made our country what it is today.

With the recent influx of migrants in Massachusetts, Richie has called for comprehensive immigration reform – the first in nearly 40 years. He supports commonsense solutions like expediting work visas, which would allow migrant families to earn an income and create financial independence.

Richie is also a supporter of the DREAM Act, and he worked closely with the Congressional Hispanic Caucus to craft an amendment extending Affordable Care Act benefits to DREAMers.
